Davenport Compost Facility

The Davenport Compost Facility accepts and recycles green wastes such as grass, garden, and tree debris into environmentally friendly and nutrient rich soil amendments and mulch that are available for purchase. The facility is a drop-off collection point for green waste for the City of Davenport, IA, and the cities in surrounding Scott County. Our retail soil amendment, mulch, and firewood products are available to everyone. The Davenport Compost Facility is proud to say we have been making useful soil and landscape products out of material that would typically end up at the landfill since 1995. On average, the Davenport Compost Facility keeps 130,000 cubic yards of material out of the Scott County landfill each year.
